Events, Art and Culture Festival

This project was realized within the scope of the art festival organized by Izmir Private Saint-Joseph French High School. "The Aegean Sea Through Monet's Eyes" interdisciplinary art exhibition "Breezes of the Aegean" The project was presented to art lovers at an opening ceremony held at the Izmir French Cultural Center on Monday evening, June 15th.

The evening, which was also attended by Juliette Bompoint, Director of the French Cultural Center in Izmir, began with a musical performance by our students. Following this, Ludovic Roussel, Principal of the Private Saint-Joseph French High School in Izmir, emphasized in his speech that art education is an important element in developing students' creativity, observation skills, and worldview, and stated that such projects strengthen the understanding of interdisciplinary learning.

Following the opening speech, the guests viewed an exhibition of works by the students. "The Aegean Sea Through Monet's Eyes" They had the opportunity to visit the exhibition. Inspired by the understanding of light and color of Claude Monet, one of the pioneering figures of French Impressionism, the students created original works by interpreting the Aegean Sea from their own perspectives.

Later in the program, the guests visited an interdisciplinary exhibition set up in the schoolyard that brought together art and science. "Breezes of the Aegean" He visited the department. The students' projects, prepared using elements from different disciplines, attracted great interest with their original approaches that combined observation and creativity.

The festival, reflecting the artistic sensibilities and interdisciplinary thinking skills of the students of Izmir Private Saint-Joseph French High School, once again highlighted the importance of scientific curiosity, aesthetic perception, and cultural exchange, alongside art.
