Izmir Private Saint-Joseph French High School was founded by La Salle in 1880 in the Konak district. Following the proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye and the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne, the school became affiliated with the Turkish Ministry of National Education and continued its activities as a "Private Foreign School" where French was also a language of instruction alongside Turkish.
Within this context, there are six French high schools in Türkiye, five of which are located in Istanbul.

The registration process is conducted in accordance with the registration calendar approved by the Ministry of National Education. Once the calendar is approved, it will be published on the school's website.
Admission procedures are based on the LGS exam score and the minimum required score determined by the school. The minimum required score will be announced on the date specified in the registration calendar.
Students who score equal to or higher than this minimum score can pre-register online through the school's website registration system on the specified dates.

The diploma obtained from our school is equivalent to the French Baccalaureate. This equivalence agreement was signed between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries in 1963 and published in the Official Gazette of the time.
Thanks to this, the diploma is recognized by all countries where the French Baccalaureate is valid (including the European Union) and by higher education institutions. Our students can apply to universities abroad and be accepted through the application process.

Our students predominantly choose the TM (Turkish-Mathematics) and FM (Science-Mathematics) fields. In recent years, a significant increase in the preference for the FM field has been observed.
Thanks to the high value of the diploma, our students want to take advantage of all opportunities. While preparing for national exams in Türkiye, they also apply to universities in different countries, especially in France.
Between 90% and 100% of our students receive a positive response. After being accepted, they make their final choices with their families.

Students with a strong foundation in French can request to take an exemption exam from the preparatory class during registration.
This exam, which covers Turkish and French, requires a minimum score of 70/100 for exemption. The exam date will be communicated to parents by the registration office after applications are received. From the 10th grade onwards, students also have the opportunity to learn a second language by attending Italian lessons organized as supervised tutoring outside of school hours.

French and Turkish are our languages ​​of instruction; English is the first foreign language taught at our school. Throughout their education, our students prepare for and achieve high scores on exams such as TOEFL and IELTS. This enables them to successfully study at universities that offer English-language programs and are often exempt from English preparatory classes.

Scholarship procedures are implemented in accordance with the Ministry of National Education's regulations on free and scholarship students.
Merit scholarships are awarded during registration. The top three students with the highest scores, subject to the conditions stated in the registration guide, will receive scholarships.

We do not have separate scholarship programs specifically for arts, sports, or other fields.
