A Safe and Supportive Learning Environment

At Izmir Saint-Joseph French High School, safety and student well-being are fundamental elements of our educational philosophy. Our school aims to provide a learning environment where students feel physically, emotionally, and socially safe. Through a holistic approach to campus security, child protection policies, student life supervision, and emergency management, our students can develop in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. This approach forms the foundation of a strong school community and a healthy learning process.

Campus Security

At Izmir Private Saint-Joseph French High School, security is one of the fundamental conditions for creating an educational environment where students feel safe, valued, and respected. Our school's approach to security is based on a holistic philosophy that includes technical measures as well as responsibility, attention, and shared awareness.

In line with this, a comprehensive structural strengthening project was carried out in our school building in 2025 and was successfully completed. Following technical inspections, the necessary reports were prepared, and the processes related to building safety continue to be monitored regularly.

Child Protection Policy

Protecting children is one of the fundamental institutional principles of our school. At the Izmir Saint-Joseph French High School, a comprehensive child protection policy is implemented to ensure students’ physical, emotional, and psychological safety.

All staff at our school are informed about child protection principles and are committed to acting in accordance with them. Our aim is to provide an educational environment where every student feels safe, respected, and protected.

Student Life Coordination and Supervision

At our school, the Student Life Unit (La Vie Scolaire) operates to support students’ safety and well-being. This unit monitors students’ daily life within the school and provides the necessary guidance to ensure they can continue their development in a safe environment.

The Student Life Coordinator and the relevant team work in collaboration with teaching and administrative staff to contribute to the development of a culture of respect, responsibility, and healthy communication among students.

Emergency Management

At our school, emergency management plans prepared for potential risk situations are implemented. These plans include clear and well-structured procedures designed to ensure the safety of students and staff.

In addition, regular safety and evacuation drills carried out at the school aim to ensure that students and staff can act correctly and consciously in emergencies.

In addition, the school has staff members who are trained in first aid.
