MELTING OF GLACIERS

There is a difference between sea ice and glaciers. Causes of melting the ice glaciers:
Sea ice forms and melts in the ocean, but glaciers 1)Burning of fossils fuels
are formed on land. Icebergs are chunks of glacial ice 2)Oil and gas drilling
that break off glaciers and fall into the ocean. 3)Deforestation
                                                               4)Ice breaking ships
Why are glaciers melting? I think we can organize our lifestyle in a way that is
Since the early 1900s, many glaciers around the more environmentally friendly, thinking about how
World have been rapidly melting. Human activities we can solve such problems by informing all people
are at the major reason of this phenomenon. about a subject that concerns the whole world and
Especially, since the industrial revolution, carbon people, such as the melting of glaciers.
dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions have
raised temperatures, even higher in the sea and Zeynep Naz Erdem
        retreating on land.

Even if we significantly reduce emission in the coming
decades, more than a third of the world’s remaining
glaciers will melt before the year 2100. As for the sea
ice, 95% of the oldest and thickest ice in the Arctic is
        already gone.

Scientist Project that if emissions continue to rise
unchecked, the Arctic could be ice free in the
summer as soon as the year 2040 as ocean and air
        temperatures continue to rise rapidly.

How do melting sea ice and glaciers influence
        weather patterns?
Melting glaciers adversely affect the weather. The
weather may be too cold or too hot than it should be.
The sudden change of the weather affects people,
        animals and plants negatively.
